If you have any "modern" stuff (or links to that), I'd be interested. I had a cursory look for modern scientific papers on this topic, but seems like not much is done. But don't stress over it! Already got a lot of good info from you. The old stuff I already have a lot (If I ever need a 100% original long tom, I know how to do it).

Mostly red stuff (i.e. garnets). I rarely get noteable black sand, but I got a few neat large-ish magnetite or heamatite chunks out of it, and it caught some small stainless steel wire in the top riffles, so it's probably not totally off, but I feel I need some more water. lot of stuff just slides over it, it seems.
