Yup. I'm a brainlet and don't understand most of the terms or how they work, but I've been reading article after article about some slight change in one of the metrics that "may" suggest a less-than-stellar outlook on the whole employment picture.

A lot are on Linkedin, and always get the typical snarky "haha weird, I worked hard and ***I*** found a job!!!11 Maybe you're doing something wrong?" type replies from boomers and self-righteous npc's. Then there was of course the recent Zerohedge article

Not to mention the pretty downright ridiculous amount of threads on the top of /biz/ about how big of a scam the job search seems to be right now.

Me personally, I graduated with 2 (bachelors) degrees in engineering last May, and had a good bit of trouble finding a job - a couple "project manager" type positions were practically handed to me, but the speed at which I got the offers, and the relatively low salaries, were fairly obvious signs to stay away. I did eventually get into a technician position at Boeing, but working there fucking sucks and is full of work-for-the-sake-of-work types (this was in a really good area of the US too mind you)

I quit several months ago because i discovered you could make insane amounts freelancing, writing smart contracts on ethereum lol. Probably a big mistake as not only did the work dry up with the ICO hype, but employers/recruiters seem to be scared away by my months-long gap, no matter how much I explain the freelance work or the fact that I moved out of state with my gf.........

Shit sucks right now. I can only hope the economy falls apart fast so we can see some change of some sort (idk what though?..) or at the very least to exact some revenge on the boomer scum
