at the end of the day you have to look at your time in the project. Chances are you'll make a couple bucks per load doing that after you subtract out gas, but is a couple bucks worth the time and effort for you personally?

I do it a different way. I already work on industrial jobsites, and my clients pile stuff up for me to take to the lot. Since I have to drive a truck to and from the job site anyways, I might as well haul off some metal to sell while I'm there.

for appliances and such, you have to pay to get rid of them where I live, so I offer to take them for free on the condition that the owner drive them to my location. Saves me on gas, saves them on dump fees. Some of the stuff works fine and I just craigslist it as is.

I posted this for you last thread. I figured you might be interested, or just get a giggle from it. The salaries they list are real starting points, but as we've discussed before houses here cost $500k and up, if you can even find housing in the area. Many miners can't. Lots of our guys commute 150 miles a day from Denver.

the tour is a required part of MSHA part 48 surface and underground new miner certification.

you can only get it if you have a job in mining. You will see things nobody else gets to see.
