I get pretty slammed on Saturday nights, but it's really just a boredom thing. If I have something that keeps me busy all weekend (rare) I don't feel the need to drink at all.

Yes. Finding an appraiser to apprentice is nigh impossible. Average age for appraisers is about 65 and tons have bailed because of Corona or they just do desk review work.

Most state requirements are at least 1 year under a certified residential appraiser and 1000 hours of experience hours along with a bachelors. You submit a giant packet of your hours to the state along with your sample work. Then you sit for the exam and it’s absolutely brutal. It’s a 6 hour exam and I took all 6 hours. I scored a near perfect score but I really took my time.

Every time I’ve had an apprentice it’s been a disaster, so I’ll probably not do it until I’m much older. I only ended up in it because a family friend got sick and couldn’t do field work anymore and you only needed an associates degree. That was in 2010.

I’m an appraiser. I can ask any retards on the street if they think values are going up or down and get 50 different answers.

I can ask real estate brokers and they’ll give me a few different answers and information.

People pay for my opinion and use it as collateral. I’m supposed to be the most likely person to know what is happening in the market.

Stocks are just like this. There are people with firsthand knowledge of what is actually driving value and they will always beat everyone else. We’re all just trying to keep up depending on which way they move. The biggest bag holders go off that information that they pay tons of money for. When they sell, everyone sells. These are the people that determine actual value, everyone else is just hoping they get it right along with them.

How the hell does a background check know where I was employed? Do they have the dates too? I have been pushing these dates all over the damn place. Can't I just say I worked at some recently closed corner store under the table?

The only reason I want to do this is because I have PTSD and I kinda did some stupid shit like going back to school for a useless degree so I didn't kill myself. I am now healthy and functioning but I cannot get hired.

On a side note I buy shit from china and resell it online. I am unsure if I should add this since its sort of unethical. I buy/sell graffiti stickers which are borderline impossible to remove. I am unsure how employers will feel about this but I've done over 30k in sales
