"Both Saturn and Jupiter have positive and negative qualities, qualities that in moderation can be beneficial (or at least can pass as beneficial) but when taken to the extreme become obviously negative and harmful. Saturn's negatives quality (when taken to the extreme) can lead to depression, or destruction-mode (think 4 horseman of the apocalypse); Jupiter's negative qualities when taken to the extreme are said to lead to decadence, to madness, to uncontrolled emotions (such as rape), to "the erosion of lawful borders". For example, if you're driving down a four-lane freeway, Saturn is the kind of driver that keeps to his lane, Jupiter is the kind of driver that hogs two lanes and then swerves. To Jupiter, the lines on the road don't "mean" anything. To use the famous Crowley saying: "Do as thou wilt" is a Jupiteran maxim. Saturn wouldn't adhere to such an ideology that has no restrictions at all. To put another way, look at normal cells in the body and cancer cells. Saturn would be like normal cells, each cell serving a function, having different functions than other cells in the body, but all a cohesive whole to the benefit of all. Cancer cells would be like Jupiter, constantly EXPANDING and growing, eventually killing off normal cells around it, and finally killing off the entire body. That is how crime works. A little crime can be "tolerated", though it's still better to catch the cancer/crime early as possible, before it expands and spreads too much. Civil war is like the Saturnian response to criminals that have grown and spread too much, like the dangerous and intensive chemo therapy to try to save the life of the body (even at the risk of killing off normal body cells too). It's reactionary and not the first (or desired) choice, but sometimes it's the last and only choice left available."
