The argument for tankers is this:
>Low order book
>high average age of ship
>Oil supposedly booming next year

Basically, tankers are only in service 10-15 years before they are scrapped. A LARGE percentage of tankers will be scrapped in immediate future due to being in that age range.

Low order book refers to orders to buy new tankers. Almost no one is buying any new tankers to replace the ones that will be scrapped soon. This is because the whole industry got burned a decade ago when everyone oversupplied on ships and drove rates down. (you can see this on any tanker's 15 year chart).

The whole market is reversing over the next year or two, with the winners being those with young fleets (like stng and fro).

Oil demand projected to be super high next year is just a cherry on top because the demand for oil transport will be so much higher than available.

High dividends are also a bonus.

If you are willing to hold for a year or two, you could make a lot of money off what you accumulate now.
