Binance was the fastest growing exchange of 2017. With their frequent token additions, superior customer support, and the proprietary fee reducing BNB token, they went from a rank 60 exchange to a rank 3 exchange in the course of several months.

The first people to join Binance are essentially retired. They purchased BNB token for a fraction of a dollar. And they were able to spread many referrals as the exchange was up and coming. I know people who are living lavishly off passive income solely from their web of binance referrals. That ship has sailed obviously. Everyone is aware of Binance and anyone who takes trading seriously has already registered there.

Dividend paying exchanges are going to surpass Binance in 2018. Why would you hold a token that gives you a fee reduction when you can hold a token that gives you a share of the exchange's daily profits? Combined with a lucrative referral program, the user is incentivized to draw traffic to the exchange, further increasing their profits.

COSS and KuCoin are the two current exchanges which pay dividends. COSS was shilled here for months, and you can argue about the exact payout formulations, but suffice to say COSS is dying and KuCoin is growing. I believe bad news was just released today about some executive at COSS desu.

At this point most major players in bitcoin are used to the significant dips in bitcoin to the point where they're reluctant to sell because it will go up anyways. Pair this with the stability of it, Bitcoin as a product is already finished and no one can fuck it up.

The crypto market cap is swelling to $425 billion. This pump isn't coming from people shifting alts->bitcoin it's new money in. Yes there is blood in the alts but not anywhere near as bad as the fork pumps. I think in a week this capital will flow into the alt market and we'll see a bull run like never before.

>The opportunity costs of holding an alt not projected to moon for 6 months is huge.
True, but how do you know which coins are going to pump? I made my stack buying ETH in February and started traded alts once the price stabilized. I made some money, but I also lost some. If I'd just held bitcoin, say, I'd be better off.

Every day there's a thread dedicated to some new shitcoin that's "about to moon". And even within those threads there are people saying "no no, -MY- coin is going to moon". For example: >>4323131

I'm sure some poeple here make money day trading. But I bet most don't, or rather, they make gains but at a slower rate than if they just held. Segwit 2x cancellation was a complete surprise to everyone here. I'd say yesterday the opinion was a 50/50 split between BTC and BCH. My point is that no one really knows what's going to happen in the next 24 hours in crypto unless they're a whale orchestrating the pump themselves.

Just look at the /biz/ catalog and tell me a reliable way to discern genuine advice from total fucking bullshit shilling

Bro, I'm TELLING you. you do NOT need college to make money. All you need is knowledge. I have a buddy of mine that was SOOO into magnets and electricity when he was a kid. He read through the enyclopedia/wiki and the IEEE - non stop learning and he never spent one single day in college. He got hired by GE as a lead engineer making bank.

Right now you can do the EXACT same thing in any field and I'm going to be honest w you. Coding, do coding. It's fucking SIMPLE once you get it down, you can be a web dev doing mundane easy ass shit for 30-50k a year. You don't even need a degree - dead ass. Just take free lessons online. I learned coding on freecodecamp, I havent even finished it but I'm already working - and i'm working remotely where ever I want whenever I want. It only took me 4 months to get it down. Trust me dude - fuck college, acquire knowledge by any means other than paying for it - because its here freely on the internet.
