The fundamental premise of Rich Dad Poor Dad is correct and is the most basic truth about building wealth. Simply put:
1. Poor people buy liabilities, or things that lose value over time.
2. Rich people buy assets, or things that build value over time.
If you give a poorfag $1million, he'll buy a Playstation, some fancy car, designer clothes, a big McMansion, and in a matter of a few months he'll be poor again.
Give a richchad $1million and he'll buy rental property, high value stocks, original artwork, a small business, and he will remain rich.
But the practical advice he gives is just absolutely absurd. At one point in the book he advises the reader to join a "multi level marketing" (read: pyramid scheme) company to learn sales. This is like recommending playing roulette to learn about the stock market.
