after i married my wife I owned her $1M house her parents bought her a year prior. then her parents gave me a 600k "loan" to buy properties to rent out. have a few apartments now and making more than enough in passive income that I don't need to get a job. they invite us to vacations a few times a year that they fully pay for and soon we will go on free trip around europe.

they can't speak english (they're from china) so I never have to deal with them directly nor do they expect me to follow every stupid gay tradition since i'm not chinese. moral of the story is if you aren't going to also benefit from marriage then don't do it. love is great but it will not make your marriage succeed.
