The problem at the moment is that you'd have to pony up $7K which isn't feasible for a lot of newbies. And 1K link was on the assumption that 1 link would hit $1000 EOY. We know $1K per Link isn't enough to secure the max potential of the network.

So I'd argue you should ALWAYS BUY LINK. Keep buying and until you can't buy any more or hit 10K, whichever one you're more comfortable with.
