The safest option in investing would probably be a blended mutual fund within a stocks and shares isa.

This is your money allocated to a mixture of bonds or equity (stocks/shares).

Vanguard is decent and the funds are branded as LifeStrategy.

You can go 80% bonds/20% shares if you are risk averse all the way to 100% shares if you want more gains / risk.

Typical returns are available on their site and its usually around 8-18% or something like that.

This sort of investing is what your bank might offer you. Only Vanguard in every way.

The next step would be exchange traded funds (ETF). These are similar to Vanguards blends but only comprise of shares focusing on particular areas. For example the S&P500 is a collection of shares in the "top 500" US companies. E.g. you can get ETFs focusing on clean energy investments or electric vehicles.

ETFs are considered safer than individual shares since the good performing stocks prop up the bad ones.

Shares and ETFs are available through various brokers. Vanguard also offers this but for convenience I use Trading212 which is an app. It also offers its stocks and shares as an ISA if you are eligible.

Finally there is crypto. Crypto is more volatile but the gains are far more lucrative.

In the first month of my medium risk vanguard fund I made around £150 with £4500 or so. I got impatient and put that money in GME stock and crypto and made about £3000 profit over 2 months.

I basically hopped from alt coin to alt coin every week or so. I kept my eye on /biz/ and did my own research.

Note the market for shares and crypto is very bullish at the moment meaning its very growth orientated. Nobody would be surprised if it crashed soon.

Coinbase is the most normie crypto exchange but I use Binance because it usually gets crypto on the market before coinbase.

Set a limit. Don't get greedy or become a gambling degenerate.
