Had some great responses and debates last thread to my idea of shorting bonds via TLT puts. Maybe I’m a brainlet, but it seems like guaranteed inflation as the fed had stated will render bonds somewhat worthless? That, and while I don’t think interest rates will go up, that’s the only future direction they can possibly move in. Worth noting I’m heavily invested in precious metals and mining stocks, which I know much more about. Do metals and bonds correlate? Am I a total brainlet here?

Silver obviously, I'm stacking at 1,000:1 because it's the most based of all metals. Gold is alright but I clearly remember how cheap it was in the early 00s, buying little gold coins I could afford for under $50 each, yet even then silver always felt like a better value.

Maybe I'm a retarded sperg but I've always had the impression that gold is more common than we are led to believe and Silver is more rare and precious, but have much better info now than I did as a kid which only strengthens that conviction.

Gold is convenient and portable wealth which serves some purposes better than bulkier silver so it's good to have, but I really do believe that supplies of wholesale silver for industry will continue to be squeezed by increased investment and even Gov't demand, forcing a magnificent clusterfuck when Apple or Samsung run through their stockpiles and need to source that 1 extra ton that no wholesaler has in stock anymore.

It's accurate to regard silver, in addition to its prior functions, as a critical strategic material due to its superior properties. When nervous governments seeking to build stockpiles to feed their military/defense/intelligence apparatus jump in with existing investment, industrial, and the coming great global reset green energy 4th industrial revolution demand I fully expect glorious fireworks. I don't even care about exigent monetary/inflationary factors exacerbated by COVID shutdowns, that's just gravy frens.
