LMT isnt crappy, but in my opinion you have to be early on the train to reap the rewards. And that train just left the station like 5-6 months ago (ukraine war). You got to be in time for the news which drive the stock higher.

Personally im interested in two things right now which are pretty surefire. Inflation not going down or "peaking", which will drive energy higher. More specifically im interested in natural gas, but also oil and such.

There is a reason why even buffett is buying up half of OXY.
Come winter, europe will need to heat their homes as always, and russia is cutting off supply. Oil will continue to rise in value as well, I bet on it happening after the midterms.

But if you really want to make your money worth 30K at least, then I would have some powder dry for two things :
monke**ox disease (bavarian nordic or SIGA) - Bavarian nordic is currently partnering up with the americans to mass produce.
Last time this happened with Moderna, you saw a fast 4X:er. Needless to say I am very interested...

If you buy SPY, you are basically betting on the american economy growing. Seeing as we are in a recession and I dont think that will change by next quarter, you are probably catching a falling knife here. Regardless, there are other assets that appreciate faster in value imo, so I wouldnt even considering buying the SPY as of right now. Id at least wait for it to crash a bit more.
