The thing is that the regime would be toppled by the CIA/Mossad in Saudi Arabia if they ever try to pull it off.
The other aspect is that SA is in a duel with Iran (which is much stronger in every aspect but oil reserves) for the regional/islamic hegemony and without american guns they can't enforce shit anymore.

Empires take time to fall, the US are arguably in decline but nowhere near enough for client states to turncoat yet.
The real geopolitical danger for americans is Russia and Western Europe converging as an Eurasian axis and drifting away from atlanticism.
