The thing is this - you are not really creating a brand. That's the problem with dropshipping. You are selling someone elses' products, and not only that, you are doing it anonymously. Yes, dropshipping stores do "brand" themselves, but it is not the same as a real retail outlet, you're just one of the many shopify stores out there with the same schtick.

Also, personally you are an anonymous person on the internet. E commerce Dropshipping simply does not lead to self promotion, which is essential if you REALLY want to make it in business.

The whole "I can work from wherever I want" is more of a meme than anything, few make it that big with their stores.

I came to the conclusion that you are much better off creating your own product line and selling your own branded products. That's a real brand and a brand you can grow personally. The only issue is that it does require startup capital for the creation of product.
