Well this shit is recovering rather nicely. Glad I bought more at 2.5$... But yes, I do realize that BTC will probably go into a downwards spiral wyck sooner or later and that it'll dump RLC with it. Oh well, another opportunity to slurp some on the way down.

>So they've been working on this for a long, long time, perfecting every little detail, testing it, making sure everything works perfectly
Yes, they have been, first beta version of the worker pools was actually accessible to everyone way back. It came out like 2 or maybe 3 years after the ICO, then we had the worker pass round 1 last year, which again, tested the worker pools. They seemed to work fine both times. While they've also been testing them on the private side chain FOR LITERAL YEARS kek. CPU support works, that's for sure. Intel SGX works, that's for sure. GPU support, not sure about that one, it might work, it might not?

>adding GPU support with NVIDIA AI cards on top
Yes, they're working on adding H100 support for the AI GPUs. This is separate from the normal GPU support for the worker pools. The H100 are designed for AI, the normal GPUs can also do AI, but at a slower pace.

>now they're about to finally release?
Might be, might not be. Worker pass round 2 is on the roadmap ( https://trello.com/b/oSCT5z09/iexec-roadmap-milestones )... They might open it like they did last time for a few hundred people, for 1month and then close it. But this time they actually said stuff like "we've been testing it out and it's working", on top of "we want to make it sustainable in the sense that iExec doesn't provide the tasks"... Seems vague, but looks to me like they've pointed out that IT IS TESTED and that THEY WON'T PROVIDE WORK, therefore it's not a test? And therefore I presume it'll stay opened permanently.
I mean like, I never saw the logic behind them closing it in the first place, it's not like it's their problem if I run a worker for literally 0$. I never get the part why they're so focused on me getting anything out of it. If I want to run a worker for -20$ per month that should be MY CHOICE, not theirs. But I can tell you from past experience, when I was in the worker pools, that the energy consumption for doing work is basically non-existent.

About HPC(high performance computing) in 2020:
>This version allows miners to join the iEx.ec market network as Server providers, and provide their customers with true supercomputing capabilities.

>At the moment, the mining farms monetize their GPU resources by computing blockchain consensus. Through iEx.ec, these providers will gain access to a new market of blockchain-based HPC applications. By this, the providers will be offered the opportunity to better exploit their vast amount of computing power and extend their businesses.

>In addition to miners, the iEx.ec HPC version will extend the Application providers pool to GPU-based applications. These applications address deep learning, 3D rendering, computational fluid dynamics, molecular dynamics, finance, and many more. We’ll put a focus on Deep Learning applications because of its incredible fast growing usage, and because actors are already keen on using GPU Cloud computing for that.

iExec's blockchain computing will enable the next boost we need to achieve the world's first real AI, as current hardware will limit us for ~10-20 years, and will never be able to compete with a decentralized supercomputer that has no origin or ((((hardware producer with backdoors)))).

All you have to do is accumulate and hold for 2 years, 1 rlc = $1k+ in 2020.
Intel is never wrong.

Yep. It'll consolidate after that massive pump and continue to pump.
It could possibly 50x. TRX did it. iexec is almost as unknown as TRX.
