Cheaper oil makes other businesses dependent on using oil to run and for normies with actual bills and gas costs to thrive. Average joe is ecstatic over oil prices and companies dying. When oil prices go up, it hurts both consumers paying for oil through gas and bills and hurts the consumer by adding additional cost to businesses which are passed onto the consumer. If oil rises, prices and costs rise to average joe and they will forever hate Trump for it. That is my point. We live in a different world where if they fall more we and big oil is happy as we get more profit through the inevitable rise and smaller companies dying, and we are also happy if prices go up and we invests in it and we make money + big oil recovers.

Pandering to oil is directly against the interest of the average voter, increasing supply is always in interest to them instead. Trump is in a catch-22 where on one hand he hopes the market can recover from pandering to oil which nets votes, but on the other if he panders he will definitively lose the election and look like a rich businessman out to make profits for his friends rather than help average joe.
