What if it crypto never recovers? What do we do then?

My neighbor paints vehicle parts or does something weird in his garage at early hours of the morning. Fumes come through my vents (shared wall). We let him know before contacting landlord but it didn't improve. So the Landlord gets notified and comes over and argues with us that I'm harassing the neighbor and that fumes can't go through a firewall or the vents. And he can paint or do whatever he wants to. Boomer landlord shows no concern for our safety and refused to believe me. Instead shifts blame to us for harassment and there must be something weird in our attic and finally agreed to get a heating guy after I said we would hire one if he didn't. What the fuck? If nothing is found wrong in the system then it was all my imagination because vents and firewalls are apparently air tight? Right.. I can't even speak to neighbors now because of accused harassment. Excuse me for wanting safe and clean air in my home. I don't know who I hate more, hillbillies or boomers. What do biz?
