people are trying to gamble on maybe getting in on a tesla-like near ground floor. They're all wrong and most of these ev startups will fail. Tesla hit success because they kinda caught the big car companies with their pants down on electrics. Big companies had an electric or two each in their lineups but it was a token gesture and they weren't desirable cars. Elon made a "cool" ev, and his marketing department went ham on public to hype it up fever pitch.
