Here is a pro tip when trying to buy or sell options and take advantage of high frequency trading.
Set a limit order at the mid or just under the ask (or above bid). Wait a minute or so for algos to register.
Then just move your limit closer to the bid (or ask). If you can't move it closer, just put in a market order.
This will allow you to get the best deal for the option, basically haggling with algos.
I use this technique on Fidelity, so I cannot confirm it works on other brokers, but I suspect it will have similar effects.
