I would like to ask my /smg/ frens to look at possibly opening a position in BIG. Earnings are tomorrow pre-market and I believe it will be very good. I have recommended BIG for a few months now and it's just been a winner. Majorly overlooked in the close-out/discount retail segment. It only has 1,400 stores but Big Lots has been ahead of the curve in terms of market trends and customer demand. They focused on building a great online shopping experience years ago. It is a good company that has grown nicely and the discount retail space has only grown overall in recent years. Good short or long term hold.
