It's because they're homogenous societies that have fucking pride. They don't mind paying the taxes because **surprise**, everyone in the country has a pretty high standard of living, as opposed to the US where it's every man for themselves and we have a shit ton of poor/underemployed people. America forces you to be the best that you can be, but in most cases, success in America can only be achieved if you're cold and heartless and only out for yourself, while in these other countries people actually give a fuck about each other and everyone is actually ok with not being the richest or most successful. In America, everyone has a stick up their ass about this because "muh land of the free" meme Everything is just so, as nature intended. They both have their pros and cons. It's just a matter of what lifestyle makes you happier.

Yeah nah. There's no cap gains tax so my guess is you would treat it as taxable income. If I could legally cash out I wouldn't mind paying ~20% as we don't fund as many murderous migrants and we have way less corruption
