I started around april or march 2017
Had no idea wtf I was doing, buying alts left and right, reading a lot of whitepapers and understanding how Ethereum and many protocols work at the technical level.
Held it all the way to the top and then to the bottom because I was afraid of taxes and didn't trust Tether due to the FUD (and no USDC/DAI back then)
Didn't give up and bought more during the 2018 and 2019 bear, mostly last cycle alts however. Tried Defi apps left and right too.

Sold almost at the first top of 2021, until the FTX scam pump back to 69k, got back in and sold a lot still but missed a lot of trends. Barely dipped my feet in NFTs (did a x15 on the few shit I bought but by complete luck) and didn't buy a single memecoin.
Overall did great on my timing but didn't invest in new stuff enough and bought too much 2017 shit.

Started looking at onchain metrics more often during bear and especially in L2s/IBC ecosystem which is why I bought GMX for example.
I was always interested in DeFi and consider it my "niche" at this point. I look for fundamentals/tokenomics and good onchain metrics (Defillama is great).
Still got burnt on many tokens with good fundamentals on the surface but with inept founders, I still find it easier than guessing what memecoin or eth killer the VCs/groups will PnD.

Pretend I'm a bored dolphin with ~30 ETH to throw into your small cap. make me believe in your project, where the value prop is, roadmap, devs, etc. Put together a soft proposal and I'll consider jumping in.

Hey guise, newfren here. I have just recently started looking into all this crypto shit and I am completely lost.
I have a very basic understanding of wallets, exchanges, and the whole idea of trading. But given the insane amount of different coins, what are the /biz/-certified non scammy coins?
From what I can gather BTC and ETH are somewhat safe bets at least for a beginner. Link seems to be mooning right now and I would like to know which other coins have the same prospect, or at least a similar one, so as not to burn my meager 100 bucks starting investment. My idea is to use it as that, an investment. I don't plan on becoming rich in two months buying low and selling high. Just to be comfy knowing that my assets are not shrinking anytime soon.

If paying taxes was so beneficial, people would do it voluntarily (like they pay voluntarily for private sector goods & services). Taxes are involuntary transfers of wealth because they are not valuable to the taxpayer.

From a moral standpoint involuntary transfers of wealth are basically theft, taxes are theft. Theft is wrong, mmmkay.

>trump will likely be voted out of office for real
That'd make him the first one-term president in a long time. You really think one of the clowns the dems have lined up this time around will beat him out? The wind's at Trump's back, even if everything he touches turns into a diarrhea hurricane and the IQ of both parties drops 20 points if you discuss his presidency with anyone of any political affiliation

If any year is the year for institutions to come around, it's 2020. Whole new decade, whole new ballgame. It's fuck or walk, and crypto's all warmed up to fuck.
