The biggest problem with IPOs Is they require going through a lot of government (SOX) regulation which many smaller firms cannot do, thanks Enron. ICOs on the flip-side can be issued by any NEET in their basement, there is no oversight. You could be investing in a total scam and you wouldn't even know.

The big red flag should be that most people on /biz/ don't even care about that because it's all about the dump n pump. They want to scam people out of their money.

The irony is that no institutional investor will touch ICOs with a 10 foot pole because it's obvious they don't meet the disclosure requirements of IPO firms. So this market is crypto market is for NEETs thinking they are playing smart financial analysts online.
