The current white paper is v3, white paper v4 should be coming out sometime soon with new sections covering DECO/VRF/Threshold signature networking.

This was from v1/v2, why do you think Sergey removed it?

What did Sergey mean by this?

What did Sergey mean by the "cup of coffee" range proposed in the whitepaper? Coffee can get pretty expensive in San Francisco, but definitely not 1000x expensive. Does this mean 3x-6x total gains from here?

>After the release of the ChainLink mainnet, price stabilization will optimize for a balancing between affordability and adequate collateralization for node providers, with some fluctuation contingent upon demand for the off-chain resources their ChainLink provides, and the supply of other similar resources, In real world terms, this would result in the LINK token stabilizing in a price range roughly equal to the cost of a cup of coffee.

Doesn't this set a hard cap on LINK price? I see two options here:

1. algorithm works, LINK price can't move multitudes beyond where it is right now
2. algorithm doesn't work, LINK price collapses because the token doesn't work correctly

Please explain why this is FUD, it's basically the only thing keeping me from investing more into LINK at this point.

If the price of link is supposed to be in the "cup of coffee" range, doesn't that mean a ceiling on the amount of gains you can make as a trader? Pretty awesome for linkies who got in at 18 cents, not so much at $1 and above.

I know this topic is beaten to death, but it's the one remaining big piece of LINK fud for me. Why did Sergey put this line in the whitepaper? If it's salient, doesn't that put a ceiling on LINK gains for anything other than swing trading?

>bought link for $0.39 on binance
>bought large coffee for $5.99 at starbucks in manhattan
I'm alright with this, but LINK $1k eoy is still on the menu, boize.

Can you read dumbfuck? I said Sergey edited it out. Everyone who read the original whitepaper saw the coffee line. >>14072320
