See for yourself. This study outdated now that batteries have a higher energy density so it's probably higher than 93%.

It doesn't even matter if you believe it or not, nearly everyone agrees that the lower operating costs will translate into a lower cost of moving goods so they only time where a diesel truck would beat electric with a full load would be places that need infrequent supply.

I've been working on cars my entire adult life. Nearly all brakes are hydraulic and can only be actuated electronically through systems like ABS. You can't disable them, retard, they're specifically designed this way. Very few cars use brake-by-wire.

Regarding the semi truck debate, I was wrong on two things, one the efficiency is as originally stated in the comparison and two the number of empty miles is around 30% and not 50%.

I have however found the smoking gun. For 93% of trucks, the extra weight of batteries would not be a consideration, this heavily favors Tesla because it brings the ownership cost down to point where it's cheaper than the ERX not including maintenance which would also probably favor them.

There's no volume in EU premarket, the prices swing widely. I'll eat crow if actually opens 1270 but I doubt it.
