>there's a problem of safety know with pathological diseases.
Yeah i know it's a big problem but there has to be a decentralized way of hedging against it adequately. Our current model is something old and outdated, like windows, and we need to at least experiment on a small scale with benign bio research with decentralized solutions or networks of trust. They are such a more ethical and robust solution than our current one.

>i don't think government is the problem so much as the government we have now being the problem.
This is the insane delusion that plagues most people. What is the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result! "We haven't tried **real** socialism yet.. blah blah blah.. The last two presidents were people everyone expected to make major changes but they are turning out to be the same neoliberal neocon stooges that have always been in office."

>evil people are always going to be out there
Yeah and they are the people attracted to positions of authority and they are the ones that will use authoritarian systems for their own benefit. Time and time again history has proven this. We have have a million different democracies and such but never have we tried a true decentralized one, and the minarchist government of the gilded age is what brought american into the industrial age and cemented it as a super power... it's too bad the progs fucked that up.
