I've realized that the opposite of tariffs is not free trade, its priveteering:
>tariffs reduce profits for hostile merchants by taxing(stealing) from foreign merchants, prefferably from enemy nations, resulting in higher prices for the country which tariffs and lessens the market for the country that gets tariffed
>Free trade imposes absolute standards that ultimately reduce cost but ignore anything else(like the production of your essential goods is made in an enemy country)
These two aren't exactly opposites as they're made out to be
Free trade oppposes tariffs only in the fact that it artificially increases prices and tariffs oppose free trade only due to free trade letting hostile states prosper
Privateering solves both of these problems and is objectively a better policy than tariffs at what tariffs do
>Ignoring the marginal capital necessary to privateer, privateering lowers prices on your market due to the goods getting ''produced'' for janny wages by the hostile nation While simulteniously making hostile nations poorer,
>Privateers are free to plunder and trade as they please as they double as compotent smugglers, thus enabling the free market for you while enacting practical tariffs for the hostile nation
>you and your country get richer while also making jobs for the youth and expanding the navy and hopefully the territory as the enemy is weak enough to be taken over like jamaica

Finally finsihed my first 100ozt of ag beginning of this week, and just got first ozt of au yesterday. Feels amazing converting usd to metals. Probably gonna set up a monthly buy. I'm kinda shy but local coin shops are the way to go. Make friends with the owners, usually boomers who love nerding out about the shiny.

>pay 9.99/mo for Spotify
>pay 8.99$/mo for Netflix
>pay 5.99$/mo for Hulu
>pay 9.99$/mo for Amazon Prime

or

>pay roughly 4$/mo for a vpn
>get amazon prime for shipping if you want
>get all the stuff normies pay for and more

Thats a savings of 31$/mo or 372$ per year.
So, why are you not a pirate again?
