holy fug france
i love le frogs
literally showing us how its supposed to be done in le current year
and remember this all started because of taxes on petroleum products, at a time when crude spot has been CRASHING. if my thesis is correct and the US is unable to keep up with the silent/sleeper demand for oil, this will lead to a surge in spot price until new wells are drilled (and this could take YEARS to establish new wells). and thats not to mention what will happen to the, now massively oversold, commodity in the event that the raep hikes slow down or stop over the next year. remember, oils run this year was entirely in SPITE of raep hikes causing the dollar to surge. with a dramatic drop in USD we could see an oil run like we havent since 06/07

but all this places the french govt in an absolute no-win situation, and every one of their faux olive branches that have been extended to les gilets jeunes has been handed back mangled and broken. and for good reason, as they address NONE of the protestors needs, and are merely platitudes extended to try and reduce the property damage. if oil itself rises, and the tax issue is not addressed things will be 10x worse by this time next year

US MSM and intl MSM has been doing their best these past few weeks to try and paint these protests as dying, and failing that, as something they are not. meanwhile these last few weeks have been much more focused and violent on media outlets than previous weeks. the frogs are literally BURNING DOWN THEIR MSM OUTLETS.

france is one of the most important pillars of the union. them leaving, or their country collapsing into even more civil unrest will push the EU to the breaking point. if the massive wave of inflation i expect in USD at some point happens to the euro while all of this is going on it, will be the absolute death of the union.

any frogs/euros here care to weigh in on this? i dont see this getting talked about many places anymore, but it is most decidedly not "over".
