People still seem fundamentally confused about how layoffs effect stock price. Layoffs make a stock price go up because it means they are reducing costs. Layoffs are only bad for people getting laid off and competing firms who will have less sales because less people will have jobs and disposable income. We are about to enter another bullrun because of all the companies starting to lay so many people off
