Some anon asked if Monero was quantum resistant. Turns out the Monero community actually funded research towards this which has finished. Pic-related is their findings about every feature in Monero's blockchain and how vulnerable they are to quantum attacks. Only 4 vulnerabilities were found which is far lower than expected and compared to Bitcoin's 24 vulnerabilities a lot easier to fix

They also have proposed solutions but implementing them would result in longer transmission times and larger block sizes so the core devs decided to hold off on implementing this until quantum computers are getting within 10 years of being able to threaten Monero. Right now the estimation is 30 years but the community is actively revaluating the situation every year.

This means you can consider Monero to be quantum-proof for all intents and purposes.
