I heard about bitcoin pretty early on and thought wow what a dumb idea. Obviously its a scam. So obviously i was very bitter when it started to be worth real money and people who were "scammed" by it ended up millionaires and billionaires. But instead of doubling down to protect my ego, I realized I had made a mistake. There was something wrong with the way i viewed the world and my place in it. I wasn't as smart as i thought I was, and the world didn't work the way i thought it did. So i started looking into crypto, diving into the charts and the whitepapers. I saw that bitcoin wasn't the only project that was making millionaires. There was ethereum and others like it. So did some research and built a little portfolio. I read stories about people who made it and people who didn't. I read about that guy who bought a pizza with like ten thousand bitcoin. I saw pic related. I heard about guys who forgot they had thousands of coins on an old hard drive and suddenly they were millionaires because they had forgotten about their wallet for years and years.

So I decided to just buy things that i think would last multiple market cycles and not doing any trading. I'll probably miss out on some gains, but I don't think i'm smart enough for day trading and I don't want that stress in my life. I'll probably be able to retire at some point next cycle.
