he's basically saying its a commodity.

buffet hates commodities because they are pretty impossible to attach an underlying value to.

now ofc you can try to value them based on global supply and demand and economic factors but he is not interested in doing that when he finds it so much easier to make plenty money buying valuable companies and government bonds.


if you were a student of buffet or benjamin graham , you would intuitively understand this.
