I was cutting losses and in the end energy was about the only thing winning since this is such a shit market. Then energy rugged hard as well, and I still don't fully understand why.
Now I'm just disillusioned with it all.

Yeah, this is what I should've done in the first place. The initial loss made me impulsive in an attempt to salvage (escape) it, which in turn has made way bigger losses.
I just need to bring myself to click that sell button and stop looking up whether I did a mistake.

This makes me even more annoyed I was recommended to invest by my banker family members.
I was really hesitant about it, and when I almost immediately lost 2k on what they sold as a fairly safe global mutual fund things just spiraled out of control.

This entire thing has just made me more bitter and regretful.
