Monero doesn't use custom-built cryptography, it relies on WIDELY-USED elliptic curves so if Monero is ever cracked it would mean that SSH, TLS and related protocols have also been cracked and the collapse of Western civilization as we know it is imminent.

And it would also certainly mean that BTC private keys have been cracked due to its reliance on EEC.
