was a tech lead but couldn't stand the social requirements and office pleasantries. took a huge pay drop and got into security, pen testing, etc. mostly fun and games on my own time and WFH 95% of the year. still a decent 6-figure income. if most of biz devoted as much time to getting some decent tech skills as they do to shitposting, everyone would have a decent job because this shit ain't rocket science
