Makes a bit more sense. The problem then becomes selling at the same time the insiders sell. The board's compensation model benefits them for a big pop up and sell. I'm not sure what their incentives would be after that, it depends on if the squeeze is still happening. It still has a core problem that the board can end the squeeze whenever and either they or GME profits.

Need doesn't matter, if they are in control of an overvalued asset it makes sense to sell it. They could even buy back shares right after and undo the dilution.

Bottom line is that it doesn't go to the moon, it goes to the board room.
