I have a little over a million dollars in Amazon stock thanks to working there for about 10 years. It occurred to me that I could just sell this stock and put all the money into a dividend paying stock or ETF. I'm looking specifically at this one - https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/DIV/

It has a stable price for the past 7 years. It pays 10 cents per share each month. I could buy 54k shares and make 5k a month while doing nothing? Why shouldn't I do this?
