Yes in this video at 4:48 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRccwkEmOYg he talks about a piece of Rhenium crystal used in highly specialized plane jets.

He says that because it is so rare they have to recycle it a lot.

Then that made me think, almost all of the people buying this are people in industry making jets and stuff? Imagine if people started buying it like it were gold or silver, the whole market would dry up potentially? I mean they are already at the point of needing to recycle it heavily due to industry.

Compare the mass abundance to gold (see image), allegedly 5.7x rare than gold yet it is approximately 40x cheaper? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Precious_metal

Just my thoughts! I could be wrong.
