For the severely under-banked (aka the poorfags itt), TD Ameritrade, while not a "bank," has bank-like features which enable you to replace you $5/mo FCU checking or $25/mo Chase checking. TD Ameritrade doesn't charge monthly fees, their VISA debit card and checkbooks are free, and you can deposit checks with their Ameritrade mobile app. Also, their phone workers pick up on the first ring, even just after midnight!

Poorfag here. Initially opened an account here for simulated trading and got upgraded to realtime data while never depositing a cent. Tried recently to get approved for Tier 3 options but was denied b/c I was truthful about my poorfag neet status on my investor profile (protip: lie your ass off from the start if you want higher tier options trading while being poorfagish).

Last week, I discovered I could order checks and a VISA debit card attached to my $0 balance margin account for free. No minimum balances, no usage or periodic fees, $1k cash and $5k purchase daily allowance. Beats the pants off your $5/mo FCU checking, and your $25/mo snooty Chase bank checking, and all is FDIC insured (or whoever insures brokerage houses). Just wanted to mention this because it even beats stupid PayPal's debit offering (w/ 1% tx fees).

My card and checkbook should arrive next week. When I wageslave again, at least I will have something to direct deposit to rather than some plebeian 'cash card' or some shit. At least the account isn't some 'starter' or 'probationary' account. Having access to buying/selling equities is just the cherry on top.
