They are the oldest bullion seminumismastic thus they are very widely circulated,I do like gold eagles since they are more shinny or pure gold coins but still I buy kruggs or smaller denomination historical coins like sovereigns because they won't get damaged as easily.
I bought about 14 kilos of silver and 200 gr of gold,got tired of crab movements in its price and basically ignored my stack but at least now I have the peace of mind to know I can always fall back on that if my other investments go to shit or the situation turns sour and thus I haven't and won't sell unless I NEED to
