So I'm starting to get my shit together with accounts and investments, and one thing I wanted to take a look at was my credit score.

I'm not in any debt, and I don't have any major shit in the past that would damage my score, but I do have one or two late payments (a month or two max) on my cell phone bills from 3-4 years ago that probably bring my score down a bit.

I've been looking at credit utilization, and figured I should up my credit cards limit from 1800 since I don't often go over 30%, but occasionally do since all my bills go on the card.

The card gets paid off each month, and I've had it for a very long time, so I'm not too worried about being irresponsible with a bigger limit, but is 5000 too large of an amount to request? I would rather not get declined for it and get my credit score dinged.
