If you're in the United States and bought from Coinbase using a credit card in the last week, they're going to treat it as a cash advance and charge you exorbitant fees and interest on top of the Coinbase fee.

I don't see the cash advance note on other countries: https://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/articles/2109597-buy-sell-bank-transfer-fees

Most banks won't even process an international cash advance by default, which is why some people's credit cards are being declined right now.
