Can someone please explain how the Raytheon merger is going to work

RTN is trading at $140. UTX is trading at $90. Under the terms of the merger, RTN shareholders get 2.3:1 shares in the new company. This means for every Raytheon share I own, on Friday it should turn into 2.3 RTU or whatever the new ticker is, right?

1. What happens to fractional shares?
2. The math seems weird, even if the new company traded at the lower price of $90, wouldn't buying Raytheon today turn your $140 share into $180 over two $90 shares? Obviously free money means I did the math wrong, right? Or is buying RTN right now literally free money?
