So, I pooled together with some friends back in 2017 and got 200k from an ICO buyin. Cost almost my entire stack back then. I actually believed in the product, if Swift was working hand in hand in them, as they so strongly implied, it must be something great.
Since then I've been doing thousands of memes for Chainlink and Sergey and got a lot of people to buy in
I felt like an absolute genius when my networth neared 4 million dollars is August.

I recently made friends with a developer who knew about chainlink from the start and told me the reason I don't understand the whitepaper isn't that I'm stupid, the reason is that its only purpose is to deceive the technologically retarded (like, I admit, I am).

He told me medianizers have near 0 developer costs, and quoted Bitmex as example that have been doing price estimations just fine for a billion dollar business without any price oracle. He told me it takes a few minutes on top of an already existing project to take the price from the top n exchanges, ditch the value of the m highest and lowest prices, and average the rest. Which is all that Chainlink ever promised to do, just in a way that results in WAY slower and less accurate results.

I am absolutely conflicted. I feel like people have just started to realize how much the project lacks any strong technological foundations, due to the project only gaining widespread knowledge recently, and this is why we're seeing the biggest dump in the project's history.

I am sure selling half of my stack for a milly if we see $10 again, but also thinking about selling it all, at latest when it reaches $5, so I still get a million out of it.

What do you guys think? Are you still going to hold on? Should I keep 10k just in case they somehow create something of value now that they have this insane capital?

>no real world use case
sorry fren, but you're way too low iq.
nobody will ever actually use chainlink for anything other than marketing purposes. not a single deveoper with anything of value under his belt has ever talked about it in a positive context.

building your own medianizer often takes less effort than using chainlink. take price from N sources, e.g. top n exchanges, ditch the m lowest and highest prices, and avg the rest.

sergey just didn't understand the problem. he can't understand the problems that developments actually face, because he can't code for shit. he's a philosophy major and his only ever contribution to chainlink was updating readme.md.

his only achievment worth mentioning is writing a whitepaper that's obscure enough to fool the tech illiterate and the low iq. you seem to be part of both groups so have fun losing all your imagined gains when high-profile people actually meet him, realize he has nothing to offer beside scamming retards and start to disassociate themselves from him.

the funny thing about link is, even if those tech illiterate founders somehow did make their idea work, they're only providing data, and they're providing it without ID verification. it's impossible to determine who is using the data you gave them and how. only 1 entity will have to pay fees and distribute it freely and boom.
there's absolutely 0 utility for the token even if the whitepaper wasn't gibberish gimmick without the slighest hint of a strong technological foundation.

IS THIS TRUE
IS LINK REALLY JUST A SCAM UNDER THE SURFACE THE SHILLS AND ALL THE MEMES?
ARE ELITE DEVELOPERS REALLY REJECTING THE WHITEPAPER AND SAYING IT'S NONSENSE, AND ONLY PEOPLE WITH NON-TECH BACKGROUNDS PARISE IT?
WAS THE WHITEPAPER REALLY JUST MADE SUPER OBSCURE ON PURPOSE BY A PHILOSOPHY MAJOR WITH NO UNDERSTANDING OF TECHNOLOGY IN ORDER TO FOOL PEOPLE WHO CAN'T UNDERSTAND SHIT ABOUT SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT???
