I'm so tired of this fake and gay bullshit. Powell didn't say anything new. Somehow it's "Powell is just a flip flopping liar!!" until it's suddenly "Powell is serious this time!!", utter nonsense. I'm buying more today since my time horizon is more than 1 year because I'm not a fucking mouthbreather.

I've been tracking my net worth (all bank accounts/investments/cash) since January and so far I'm down 21%. Anyone doing better or worse? Honestly makes me feel a tiny bit better just looking at the numbers

I got groceries yesterday and it was $72 instead of $100+ like it has been for a year. It felt like I had done something wrong or forgotten to get things but I triple checked and I had pretty much gotten the same grocery load as usual, I even got more meat than usual. I've been waiting like ten years for the opportunity to buy some land and build a small house. Is now a good time to reach out to a lender about getting a USDA loan? Anyone done one of these? I've heard wildly varying reports about how this corona business is affecting lending attitudes, but I'm hoping that the sharp downturn in applications over the last month might encourage some lenders to take a bet just to retain any kind of cash flow. I have zero personal credit [as far as I know] because I've never had a personal credit card, but I do have a rock solid history of paying rent and utilities as well as about $5k in cash saved up.
