Surely you've also checked if you have other states you need to file in? Such as if your K1 lists other state income on a "State Schedule"?? And hopefully you properly calculated your income accounting for depreciation, to do so you will need to calculate your Net Equivalent Barrels of Oil Produced???

I mean. I paid off mine. But the amount of debt you need to take on go to a namebrand school is way more than a kid fresh out of highschool will understand. I just saw the number, figured it was less than a typical starting salary in my field, and said "eh it'll be fine", when in reality even living a shut-in lifestyle it took 3 years to pay off. And that was with a STEM job, the kids whose passion was a liberal arts field are up the creek without a paddle.

To be clear. Fuck those who just expect the gov to pay it off, those are my tax dollars you are spending. BUT. I do think these loans should be dischargeable in bankruptcy for people who really can't make it work. And hopefully with GenZ realizing $50k/yr college isn't sustainable, we'll see a decrease in the armies of administrators who are making this shit cost so much.

bash sucks as a programming language but it's good for gluing together Linux terminal commands. if you are doing string processing Python is a better way to do it. I mean I guess you could also write perl scripts or something if you know regex but nobody will be able to read your code.

The thing with bonds is, it's inherently retail-unfriendly because your upside is defined and relatively low while your downside is still 100%. Not to mention the unit quantity is $1000 which makes it hard to diversify. So at the end of the day, you are putting hours of research into why it shouldn't default, but you can still get BTFO by a black swan and if you don't... enjoy your single digit return.

I do have some 3M treasuries in my port right now (which might be a mistake with the debt ceiling lol)... but unless there's really compelling yields I don't see a need to try to buy corporate debt.
