yes there is, surprise surprise its the government fucking things up as usual. In my town the government(local gov im assuming) only allows for a VERY small number of liquor retail licenses, so much so that a big grocery chain paid actual MILLIONS to a small local gas station to buy their liquor license. Long story short, you cant just start a liquor store, your grandpa would have had to already have started one or you need to do the kamala strategy, which is to suck off enough officials until you get what you want.
