Silver to gold ratio and other meaningless bullshit /biz/ believes in

Theres 1 oz of gold for every 9oz of silver yet gold is 90x more valuable than silver

The GSR speaks for itself. How many times has it been above 80? These are historic times for PM investors. Honestly, I'd look to platinum before gold if you want something other than silver.

Are you retarded? The ratio has gone up massively in recent years and is near record highs. Not to mention historically for hundreds of years of gold and silver standards the ratio was stable around 15:1.

Plenty of countries in the past used silver standards, and if they don't they'll still use silver for coins. They're both very useful, there's no argument there.

Even if we reverted to using some meme metal instead of gold and silver, we'd still use bills as IOUs for the metal, exchanged at the bank. Putting it in the bill is stupid on many levels.
