They're not hip, but Java and C# are the languages that would find you a well paying, low effort WFH job in a LCOL place with lower taxes, which is a way to not completely burn out as you're working towards retirement.
I'm in the c# ecosystem, but for javafags, I'd strongly recommend at least finding a job with Kotlin, as it's a bit more 21 century.
Python and node and elixir and golang might be more suited for a cool hip startup, that also pays a lot, but you'll probably need to live in a HCOL high-crime shithole and you'll end up saving less, while working more.
This doesn't just apply to the US, either.

It's very clearly not the top, kek.
It still has billionaire backers so I can't imagine it crashing any further.
But I don't see a good reason for it to pump either.
Sold mine at the start of the DeFi bubble, could probably rebuy 50x the amount right now.
I support everyone involved in this project, but that doesn't mean it's a good investment.

It's not against l2 solutions, just against shitty l2 like lightning network. So this is wrong.
> trying to make a horse carriage mainstream by adding horses and seats in the long run.
Flawed analogy for the short to medium run. BTC and even BCH are far from the optimal block size, so it's more correct to say that BTC is a carriage with the leg of a dead horse in front of it. There's more to be added in terms of block size before we even start considering other solutions. Also roads have permanent width, whereas computing power doubles every 18 months.
>t. I don't hold BCH because the bull run is not about censorship resistance or even value transfer, so leaving money stuck in BCH is stupid. But the coin is still good.

>abcucks want to optimise on the protocol level
Correct. Current-day hardware cannot process blocks bigger than 20MB without optimizations.
SV mined a fake 64 block (aka, saved time on propagations), all their miners are on a local network, and it still took it more than an hour to propagate. At the moment, SV is struggling with every block bigger than 5MB because they decided against using the optimizations.
BU, had better results with Gigabyte blocks on a distributed worldwide network with average-power PC-s than SV did with 64mb on their local network.

we dont live forever and BCH have a viable scaling solution that works and is user-friendly TODAY

while BTC have a scaling solution that makes your eyes bleed and MAYBE works in several years if someone solves its routing problems

you may not realize it but we don't actually have infinite time to accomplish our goals, the banks will catch up and if bitcoin doesn't have a good foothold by then it's game over
